Viriditas Byways is a Catholic retreat and community ministry serving women and young adults across the northland and Kansas City metro area.
Rooted in the teachings of St. John Paul II and St. Hildegard of Bingen, we create spaces where people can step away from the noise of modern life and encounter God through nature, prayer, theological discussion, and authentic friendship.
We were made for encounter with God and each other. Whether through women’s retreats, co-ed community nights, or local formation events, we exist to guide Kansas City Catholics deeper into our identity, our faith, and the vibrant life for which God created us.

The Byways
Byways are themed retreats inspired by the Creator and His Saints - each byway is a path to encounter the Lord on your personal journey to sainthood.
The Oasis Byway: Discover the Theology of the Body and the mysteries of creation.
The Verdant Byway: Journey with mystic and Doctor of the Church, Hildegard, and her holistic, creation-centered wisdom.
The Flourishing Byway: Dive into a practical exploration of the Feminine Genius for mothers.
The Pilgrim’s Pint
The Pilgrim’s Pint is a pint-sized byway for faith, fun, and fellowship.
These one-time events blend Catholic theology and real conversation, served up over a good drink and even better company.
From Theology on Tap to seasonal women’s gatherings, it’s all about building Christ-centered friendships through meaningful discussion—without the awkward small talk.
