Often, however, reality looks more like overwhelm, depletion, and grasping in our sense of scarcity. The demands of life pull us this way and that leaving us exhausted and without a sense of direction.
This is not God’s original design.

We are women on a sacred journey — into the wild, into stillness, into the depths of a relationship with Christ.
Viriditas Byways is the place for adventurous Catholic women, away from the noise and into the beauty of nature to hear the still quiet voice of God while experiencing the vibrancy of His Presence in green living things.
Founded in the spirit of St. Hildegard of Bingen, who saw God at work in all living things, and St. John Paul II, who regularly took young people to encounter God in nature, this is a place of retreat and holistic renewal — mind, body, and soul — through prayer, hiking, and holy friendship.
The Byways
Viriditas Byways offers themed retreats inspired by the lives and teachings of saints.
From the Theology of the Body focus of The Oasis Byway, to Hildegard’s nature-centered wisdom in The Verdant Byway, and the Feminine Genius focus of The Flourishing Byway — each retreat is a path to encounter the Lord on your own personal journey to sainthood.
The Pilgrim’s Pint
The Pilgrim’s Pint is a pint-sized byway: one-time events merging faith and fellowship.
These events include Theology on Tap, open to all young adults, and one-time women’s events hosted throughout the year — centered on building Christ-centered on discussing faith, life, and making meaningful friendships.
